**First Choice Spinal & Sports Physiotherapy is seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Lawson practice**

**Description**:
Join an established clinic in the heart of the Blue Mountains where you will be given the opportunity to carve your niche in private practice.

You will receive structured, high quality mentoring to help develop your clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills, in addition to upskilling your ability to use therapeutic exercise.

Experienced Physiotherapy Assistants and final year Physiotherapy students are encouraged to apply.

The opportunity:

- Part-time 8-16 hours per week, flexible hours spread across Mon-Sat.
- Mentoring: Fortnightly in-house professional development using case studies and skills sessions catered to your caseload and interests.
- CPD allowance $500 per year.
- Excellent administration staff.
- Sports coverage opportunities as a Sports Trainer.

**About the job**:
You will assist in treating a mix of private, Medicare, and compensable patients presenting with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including neck pain, low back pain, hip and knee osteoarthritis, shoulder pain, and sports injuries. Pilates experience is desirable but training will be provided.

The position is part-time 8-16 hours per week, and the days and hours are flexible. Pay is well above the award and could either be casual + super, or permanent part-time plus entitlements.

The majority of your work will take place in the clinic, but there is the opportunity for gym visits, pool sessions, and home visits.

**About You**:
You might be an experienced Allied Health Assistant, or a final year Physiotherapy student trying to get a head start in private practice.

You should have a commitment to giving your best effort to each of your patients and striving for excellence. You will need your own professional indemnity insurance and first aid certificate.

You'll be working alongside an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 18 years experience and strong working relationships with local doctors. **About the location**:
Lawson is a relaxed and charming suburb located in the heart of the Blue Mountains, an easy 40-minute drive from Penrith. It has many local amenities including cafes and restaurants, and many trails for cyclists and runners.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
