Physiotherapy Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to assist in the delivery of physiotherapy programs. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the physical mobility and quality of life of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physiotherapy programs within group settings or one-to-one basis as directed by a physiotherapist
  • Assist and motivate residents in maintaining their independence
  • Daily preparation of treatment areas, setting up equipment, and completing associated documentation
  • Assisting in the development and review of resident care plans

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (specialising in Physiotherapy) or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Heath or another relevant qualification
  • Previous experience in the design and development of Physio programs is desirable
  • Previous experience or knowledge of transfers and mobility, pain management, equipment use, and biomechanics is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise own work to meet daily requirements of the Physiotherapy Assistant
  • Effective problem-solving skills with ability to generate new ideas and solutions
