**The Role**
As a
**Mechanical Trades Assistant/ Workshop Assembler **at MVLV, you will have the opportunity to interface with multidisciplinary trades within our business with a focus on the mechanical team. You will have the opportunity to work in our newly completed Kewdale Workshop boasting cutting edge equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leveling of steel base frames
- Assembling and standing steel portal frames.
- Assembly of steel parts, similar to flat pack design
- Unloading equipment from sea containers
- Installing transformers, electrical panels & battery racks
- Assisting workshop supervisors with direct instructions to undertake various activities
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Have the ability to read drawings and be able to check off materials
- Mechanical hands-on ability
- Prepare and maintain work areas in a clean manner
- Working safely and ensuring the safety of those around you
- Be punctual and reliable
- Have a strong attention to detail.
- Be physically fit
- Good manual handling skills
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen

**About You**
- Experience with metal working equipment
- Knowledge in the use of hand and power tools
- WA C Class Drivers licence
- High Risk Licence - Forklift
- Experience with use of workshop overhead cranes
- WA HR Class Drivers licence - highly regarded
- High Risk Licence - Dogging and rigging - highly regarded
- Experience with use of workshop overhead cranes
