About us

CIM Supports is a Newcastle disability support service providing Compassionate, Inclusive, Meaningful Supports and a unique service supporting people with a disability and mental health condition. We support people with a disability who are seeking individualised supports for:
Individual Living Options (ILO),

Short Term Accommodation (STA),

In Home Supports,

Personal Care,

Social and Community Access,

Supported Holidays

Due to our rapid growth we are looking for experienced disability support workers or individuals with transferable skills, lived experience and or qualifications in the community services sectors.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience and or lived experience in the disability sector is preferred
- Certificate III or IV in Assistant in Nursing Disability, or Certificate 3 Individual Support or equivalent
- Comprehensively insured, registered, reliable vehicle.
- Preferred experience in Mental Health / Autism / Intellectual disability
- Demonstrated experience in supporting people with a disability

Essential Requirement
- Police Check/ NDIS check
- Australian unrestricted Driver's Licence.
- Covid 19 Vaccination ( Mandatory as per NSW Health )

Tasks & responsibilities
- Providing direct support to people with a disability in their home and in the community
- Support people with a disability to live independently in individualised living arrangements
- Provide support with personal care and general household duties

Locations of work

Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter, Port Stephens regions.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.95 - $68.54 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff will be required to meet NSW Health mandatory vaccination requirements and provide evidence of vaccination

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Newcastle NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
