Network Security Engineer
This is a pivotal role in our global network's security team, where you will collaborate with professionals from diverse disciplines to safeguard the routers and switches that form the backbone of our infrastructure.
About the Position
You will lead efforts to collect, structure, and standardize network event data, ensuring timely access to relevant information sources.
Drive analysis of network event data to develop high-fidelity security detections and compliance reporting solutions.
Triage and analyze alerts triggered by our detections, determining next steps for mitigation and resolution.
Stay current in security and networking expertise, mentoring others in these areas as needed.
Promote strategic improvements and refinement of security policy and standards related to our networks.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field OR 7+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), or operations incident response.
1+ year experience in secure operations of routers and switches in a large scale IP network.
Demonstrated knowledge of layer 2 protocols, and layer 3 networking including IP addressing and routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP and MPLS.
Credential Requirement
Able to meet the necessary security screening requirements for this position.
