About the job
We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at Alcoa's Kwinana refinery. This a permanent, drive-in drive out position working Monday to Friday on a family friendly roster
Our business is looking for someone who is able to demonstrate leadership and provide expert advice and assistance to both the Alcoa Operational area and the individual Contractor teams. Ensuring required works are delivered safely and efficiently at the work front.
Supporting both the Area and the appointed task Alcoa Responsible Person (ARP), you would be responsible for monitoring the 'job readiness' of both the contractor and the Alcoa area to ensuring that the Contractors are able to safely start work on time.
Other key tasks for this position include the following...- Facilitating and removal of any barriers that prevent delays- Mentoring and supporting role to the Alcoan's involved in the engagement and management of contractors and providing a common point of contact for the Contractors working within the Area.- Engagement and relationship building between both the Contractor Coordinator and the Alcoa area.- Ensuring the open and honest communication continues and that issues and decisions can be identified and made in a timely manner.
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Contractor Coordination or similar role- Extensive knowledge of process operations and maintenance activities pertaining to process plants or mine sites- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring individuals and developing teams to achieve organisational objectives- Excellent environmental, health and safety leadership, with an absolute commitment to maintaining a strong health and safety culture- Strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage teams- The ability to make decisions, multitask and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines- Proven ability in effective forecasting and budgeting knowledge- Exceptional organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work in pressured situations- Trade Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline- Diploma of Project Management or similar would be advantageous
