Snowy Hydro is currently recruiting for a Risk & Compliance Manager to join the team during an exciting and pivotal chapter in the business' history. Reporting to the Group Head of Risk & Compliance, this role will see you working closely with the business to embed risk and compliance frameworks. You will be responsible for implementing the enterprise Risk Management Framework with support from business stakeholders, utilising your expert advice and initiative to identify improvements in how Snowy manages our risk and meets our obligations.
This opportunity is based in Sydney and Snowy Hydro supports flexible working arrangements and appreciates the additional value such arrangements can bring to our business and to our employees.
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
Updating risk profiles and preparing risk reports for internal & external stakeholders

Providing independent oversight of key risk controls and corresponding assurance to the business and Executive on the effectiveness of first line risk management

Monitor timely implementation of risk action plans

Collaborating with business stakeholders including Legal, Trading and Operations to ensure regulatory developments are closely monitored, ensuring Snowy Hydro is well prepared for potential changes in regulator focus areas / action

Delivery of a training and monitoring program to help build risk and compliance capability within the business

Providing guidance and targeted support to the Company's Compliance Advisors and to broader stakeholders

Leading by example and continuously demonstrating behaviours consistent with the Snowy Hydro Values

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
A relevant Bachelor's degree and 6-10 years of experience in a similar role

Demonstrated experience with developing and delivering governance, risk and compliance frameworks in a large and complex organisation

Experience engaging with and presenting to senior Executive and Management teams

The ability to effectively communicate complex matters to a range of personnel across all levels of the business

An understanding of the energy sector and applicable regulatory requirements
