Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support our finance team in Australia.
This role combines transactional finance duties with broader responsibilities in management reporting, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and adding value through effective management reporting.Responsibilities of the roleAccountingPerform month-end process, post journal entries, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliationsPrepare monthly management accounts and variance analysisCollaborate with wider finance team to ensure timely and accurate group reportingReview and process employee expense claims in line with company policyAssist with completion of year-end external auditAssist with general administrative tasks as requiredAccounts Payable / ReceivableOnboard new suppliers in compliance with the company's internal policiesProcess supplier invoices accurately and efficientlyManage purchase order and invoice matching processCoordinate and prepare payments runs for supplier invoices and intragroup fundingManage processing of revenue invoices, supporting documents, and paymentRespond to and resolve external and internal queries in a timely mannerExperience in preparing management accounts for multiple entitiesExperience in managing payments in accounts payable and receivableGood understanding of Australian accounting standardsCompetency using MS Excel, Office, and processing journals in a mid-sized or large ERPWorking knowledge of Australian GST and FBTExperience with Australian BAS preparation is advantageous but not essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departmentsCPA/CA qualification or nearing completion25 Days of annual leaveFlexible workingShort Term Incentive bonus based on company and personal targetsGreat working culture globallyAttractive remuneration package
