**The role**

Your new specialist role will involve showcasing your engineering knowledge to lead change relating to Operational Technology using best practice Cyber Security principles at Generation Sites. You'll have a focus on improving safety, long term plant integrity and optimisation to meet the operational (Customer) requirements in line with Origin's business objectives, purpose, and values.

The below details how you'll be able to independently perform, enhance, and support the following functions as a Security Specialist:

- Scoping, challenging and technical oversight/support for system design and site works associated OT and IT interfaces
- Ensure reliable data and process communications between local and remote generation sites and support facilities
- Challenge the Status Quo and look for improvement opportunities in relation to Generation data systems, network architecture and protocols to minimise disruptions and improve flexibility
- Support the adaptation of new industry such as Industrial Internet of Things and Cloud SCADA
- Review, justify and communicate recommendations for equipment selection, installation, operation and maintenance
- Evaluate Cyber security threats and respond to vulnerabilities as required in the Operational Technology environment
- Work within and support the Technical Authority Framework compliance as a Subject Management Expert
- Work collaboratively across relevant business areas in the development and role out of new practices and technologies
- Assess, engage, monitor, and manage external parties performing work for or on behalf of Origin
- Provide, use and review Quality Control systems, documents and processes
- Project management within discipline
- Contribution to the development, review and ongoing support of asset management strategies and processes to ensure fleet equipment meet their intended design life at the lowest sustainable life-cycle costs

**Is this you?**
- Qualifications in IT or Engineering suitable for working with Cyber Security and OT Networks
- Experience in Industrial Process Control security
- Experience with Industrial Control Systems networking practices including use of OPC and security tunnellers
- Knowledge of current Cyber Security codes, practices and legislative requirements (such as AEMO AESCSF, NIST, IEC 62443, MITRE)
- Lead personal and process safety for people, process and equipment
- Be a Change Agent for long term change across an organisation
- Ability to engage in, prioritise and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously and pro-actively.
- Capability to manage projects utilising using quality processes.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to stakeholders across all levels of business.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to learn.
- Short-term interstate travel at immediate notice.
