The whole hospital approach to support patient's needs ensures that GP patients are able to be looked after overnight and provides an opportunity for a high standard of local patient and client care.Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our Greencross Kedron team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist veterinarians with consultations, surgeries, and medical proceduresProvide compassionate care and monitoring for hospitalized petsAdminister medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinariansPerform diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiographyMaintain accurate patient records and manage client communicationsEducate pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructionsEnsure a clean, safe, and organized environment for pets and staffParticipate in inventory management and ordering of suppliesQualificationsCertificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalentPrevious experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team and independentlyHigh level of attention to detail and organizational skillsCommitment to providing exceptional patient and client careFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidaysBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceOpportunities for professional development and career advancementAccess to continuing education and training programsSupportive and collaborative team environmentEmployee discounts on veterinary services and productsHealth and wellness initiativesHow To ApplyIf you are passionate about animal care and are looking to join a dynamic and supportive team, we would love to hear from you
