Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs.

The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa.

Newmont is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler – Mine Development to join our high-performing team at Tanami.In this pivotal role, you'll be the driving force behind the smooth execution of our underground mine development plans — from daily priorities to annual targets.
By coordinating schedules and collaborating with key stakeholders, you'll ensure critical activities are delivered on time, every time.Working on a roster opposite the Development Superintendent, you'll provide operational continuity, maintain momentum, and identify opportunities to exceed expectations through precise planning, controlled execution, and continuous improvement.In This Role, You WillCoordinate mine development schedules in line with operational prioritiesLiaise with mining, maintenance, and technical teams for seamless plan executionProvide operational coverage for the Development Superintendent during rostered leaveMonitor performance, address variances, and implement improvement initiativesSpend time underground validating inputs and ensuring compliance with the planWhat We're Looking ForProven underground mining experience, including frontline development supervisionStrong understanding of mine planning and scheduling in large-scale operationsProficiency in mine planning and scheduling systems (Pitram experience desirable)Diploma in Metalliferous Mining or equivalent qualificationAbility to influence, problem-solve, and deliver results in a dynamic environmentWhy Newmont?
