Director, Governance And Compliance Full-Time Temporary

Overview Reporting to the Senior Director (School Operations), the Director is required to ensure that legal and compliance obligations for policies held by the branch are upheld, relevant operational activities are conducted effectively, and to provide high level administrative, coordination and stakeholder management support to the branch.
This role requires a strategic and adaptable thinker who can navigate complexity while maintaining a focus on outcomes. The Director, Governance and Compliance will be expected to exercise sound judgment and initiative in delivering timely, accurate, and effective senior administrative and policy support. They will lead the coordination of key work programs, contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies and governance frameworks, and manage officers and responsibilities within their designated streams.
The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes, and anticipate and respond to emerging operational needs. Though the role will sit within the Governance and Compliance unit, the officer may be required to work across the branch in response to operational or other requirements.
Eligibility/Requirements Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Notes This is a temporary position available from late October for a period of up to 12 months.
