It's a unique opportunity to integrate your experience, knowledge, and expertise with your strategic capabilities and entrepreneurial approach, to lead a clinical practice within a large Aged Care Provider.As a member of the Practice, Quality and Risk team, you will utilize your experience as a Nurse Practitioner, understanding of evidence based practice, and commitment to high-quality clinical aged care to lead and develop Catholic Healthcare's clinical practice in wounds, infection, and continence care.
Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer, you will work collaboratively with the Senior Palliative Care Lead who is also a Nurse Practitioner and the broader Practice, Quality and Risk team, to support our Residential Aged Care, Home Care and Independent Living teams.Your outstanding collaboration and interpersonal capabilities, combined with your innate curiosity and dedication to sharing your expertise in wound care, incontinence management, and infection control, will be essential to your success in this key role.Your days will include;Leading, developing and implementing contemporary, evidence-based wound, continence care and infection control policy and practicesProviding expert clinical leadership and guidance to a team of healthcare professionals, older people, and families.Serving as a resource and mentor for CHL Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in wound, continence care and infection control practicesFostering a culture of compassionate care and dignity for older people and their familiesCollaborating with Operations, Clinical Experts and Academic to develop wound management, pressure injury prevention (PIPP), continence and infection control programsDeveloping an implementation plan to establish, embed, and evaluate the programsEstablishing facilities, systems, and processes to support billing and claiming for NP servicesThe ideal candidate will have the ability to understand and interpret information, effectively navigate teams and influence stakeholders to build clinical capability across the business, in addition to the following;Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner by NMBA & Registered Nurse with AHPRADemonstrated NP experience in aged care with wound specialty - EssentialAdvanced degree in nursing (Master's degree or higher)Min 10 years clinical nursing experience, ideally in wound and pressure injury preventionAdvanced wholistic clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsConfidence in using telehealth and other digital solutions to provide remote support and adviceProven leadership and commercial experience in a clinical setting, with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staffKnowledge of aged care and end-of-life care's legal and ethical considerations, including advance care directives, consent, and decision-making processesDemonstrated experience in managing and delivering projectsAbility to travel as requiredWillingness to obtain Police CheckBenefits Catholic Healthcare employees receiveAdditional leave days, salary packaging, fitness benefits, paid parental and family leave, and long service leave after five years
