Description
The Assistant Finance Analyst is responsible for a wide range of tasks in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Reporting to the Finance Analyst based in Sydney with a strong dotted line to the Finance Controller based in Singapore, you will proactively manage the day-to-day financial processes and identify improvement opportunities.
You will work closely with the Oxford, Singapore, and Sydney Finance teams, as well as the wider Global Operations team.
You will support the maintenance of financial accounts, databases, and systems, and recommend changes as appropriate.
You will collaborate with the Finance Analyst on month-end procedures and financial statements.
Responsibilities also include invoicing processes and managing accounts payables.
We seek someone who can work independently, with excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidence in communication.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure transactions comply with local accounting laws and regulations
Assist in maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers
Perform bank reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end procedures to meet reporting deadlines
Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Work with the commercial team to maintain the subscriptions database for revenue recognition and timely invoicing
Update daily cash flow schedules
Develop and implement ideas to optimize financial processes
Collaborate on various ad hoc projects with the finance team
What we are looking for
Required attributes :
Accounting knowledge and/or experience
Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Numerical aptitude
Accuracy, quick learner
Responsibility and reliability
Team-oriented with interest in an international environment
Desirable attributes :
Experience with accounting systems, financial trackers, bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and general ledger reconciliation
Experience working with offshore teams and external service providers
Experience with ERP systems
