Project Manager- Regional Victoria

Our client is a leading company within the utilities industry, seeking a Project Manager to join the Major Projects team on regional projects.
Candidates based in Bendigo, Ballarat, Shepparton, or nearby towns are preferred.
Relocation assistance will be provided if needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects valued between $10M and $50M, with a background in High Voltage zone substation or transmission construction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of major projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, safety standards, quality, and compliance requirements.
Manage internal teams and subcontractors to optimize resource utilization and project execution.
Administer contracts and tenders to support project delivery and ensure contractual compliance.
Oversee project finances through accurate forecasting, cost control, and risk mitigation.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to align project outcomes with customer and business needs.
Define and negotiate project scopes to ensure feasibility, system compatibility, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and report on project performance to keep stakeholders informed and accountable.
Promote continuous improvement and leadership through proactive development and issue resolution.
Implement and improve project management systems to enhance efficiency across operations.
Ensure safety, regulatory, and contractual compliance across all activities.
Encourage cost-effective work practices supporting network reliability, quality, and environmental goals.
Key Requirements
A tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of project management principles with experience in electrical distribution or infrastructure projects.
Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams.
Deep understanding of financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
Extensive industry knowledge of electricity distribution, sub-transmission, and construction standards.
Experience using SAP and project management tools for estimating and reporting.
Skilled in project scheduling, risk assessment, resource planning, and construction methodologies.
Minimum of 5 years' project management experience, with eligibility for or accreditation as a Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM).
