**NDIS Support Worker - Thornleigh**

**Location**:Thornleigh, NSW

**Job Type**: Casual

**Rate**: $40/hour (Weekdays)

**Shifts**: Monday to Sunday

Car & ABN preferred

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and compassionate Female Support Worker to assist a female NDIS participant in Thornleigh. This role is best suited to someone living nearby, with flexibility across all listed shifts and strong experience in personal care.

**Shifts**:
Morning: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Midday: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Evening: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Per day hours: 6-8 hours

**Duties Include**:

- Hoist operation (Essential)
- Personal care & hygiene support
- Wheelchair assistance
- Domestic assistance
- Meal preparation
- Community access
- Documentation
- All other aspects of daily living as per their NDIS Plan
- Adherence to behaviour support plans and manual handling protocols
- Effective communication and active support

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Local NDIS experience in Australia (Must)
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Care, Mental Health (or working towards/willing to obtain)
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable car
- Comprehensive car insurance
- First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Completion of NDIS Orientation Modules
- Smartphone with internet for rostering app
- COVID-19 Vaccination Proo

4. Local NDIS Experience : MUST.

5. NDIS Worker screening check : MUST

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Where required, assist individuals to undertake a range of activities of daily living including personal and self care, eating and maintenance of personal hygiene, using the principles of active support.
- Support individuals to use their preferred method of communication and assist them to be understood, listened to and responded to at all times.
- Work effectively with people who have high physical needs and/or behaviours of concern implementing manual handling assessments and/or behaviour support plans as required and in keeping with True Living Accommodation and Respite procedures and policies.
- Maintain documentation, records and data collection as required and in accordance with the relevant legislation and True Living Accommodation and Respite policies.
- Interact and communicate with other team members in the interests of service users and of achieving a consistent approach to service provision.
- Where required, assist individuals to undertake a range of activities of daily living including personal and self care, eating and maintenance of personal hygiene, using the principles of active support.
