**About the Centre/Service**

Beleura Hill Preschool is a non-profit community based sessional kinder operated by a Committee of Management. The preschool is committed to excellence in the provision of educational programs for both 3- and 4-year-olds, recognized in our Exceeding National Quality Standard rating. Families and educators aim to build strong partnerships to effectively manage the preschool and to achieve shared goals for children. Our curriculum at Beleura Hill Preschool is an emergent and play based approach where children's interests and developmental needs are forefront to our learning program; we also believe that children's families and the local community should influence the program; most importantly we believe that our program should be fun and offer a safe, warm and nurturing environment where families feel supported and children can thrive. We work in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, which identifies five learning outcomes for children. These outcomes have a broad view of the kind of knowledge and skills all children need for them to become confident and happy through their life.

**Description**

We currently have an opportunity for a Certificate III or Diploma qualified Educator to join our team in a part time capacity to commence Term 1, 2025. You will be involved in assisting the children with lunch, supervision of children during play, assist with group activities, help record observations, assist with packing up and cleaning up after activities and at end of day. As the successful applicant you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and confidently assist in the delivery of a high quality and diverse educational program. You will have knowledge of the VEYLDF, The National Quality Standards and The Child Safe Standards. Beleura Hill Preschool is a shared service so you must recognise the importance of operating efficiently and demonstrate effective time management skills. You will have a commitment to ongoing reflective practice and contribute collaboratively to a professional team and organisational culture. You will attend and actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as appropriate or as directed by Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor. You will belong to an organisation with strong values, ethics and commitment to children and their families. In return you will be seen as a valued colleague and will be supported by both professional and knowledgeable staff and an active Committee of Management.

**Qualifications**

Preferably with a minimum of 12 months experience in a sessional kindergarten, you will be passionate about indoor/outdoor play programs and comfortable working with both our children and their families in a warm and trusting manner. A current understanding of NQS and Child Safe Standards is a must. Certificate III or Diploma and First Aid/Anaphylaxis certificates required.
