Underground Senior Project Engineer

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough, and Lane, and has been selected to design and construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is located within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.Snowy 2.0 is a significant milestone in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia, providing on-demand energy and large-scale storage for future generations.
This iconic project is set to leave a lasting legacy in Australian history.Purpose of the Role :Responsible for managing and implementing a section of works on a construction project to ensure that time, cost, quality, safety, and contractual targets are met.
Develop and implement procedures to ensure quality, safety, timely production, and budget compliance.Qualifications :Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineWhite CardC Class Driver's LicenseExperience :Minimum 7 years' experience in the construction industry in a similar roleExperience working on large-scale construction projects or similar worksRequired Competencies :Positive attitude and proactive approachInitiative and creative problem-solving skillsSelf-motivatedAbility to handle multiple issues and achieve resultsStrong interpersonal skillsCollaborative working styleAbility to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks under pressureExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work efficiently in demanding environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities :Review subcontractor IPC claimsAssist commercial team with letters to subcontractors and clientsMentor engineering team to enhance technical knowledgeDevelop 6 to 12-month look-ahead programs for planning and procurementCreate detailed daily and weekly work programs, including resource and material planningInnovate construction methodologies and material selectionsReview shift report data to identify improvement opportunitiesMonitor progress and review delay allowancesCoordinate resources with other sectionsTrack off-site procurement against the programImplement resource strategies to meet project deadlinesCommunicate project programs to relevant teamsDevelop a collaborative 'One Team' cultureGuide and assess Graduate and Site EngineersBuild positive relationships with clients and external partiesEvaluate blasting technologies and advise on surface blasting practices to ensure safety and complianceDesign blast patterns and approve blast designsGenerate drill and charge sheetsEnsure adherence to client policies and safety standardsFoster a positive, productive working environmentThe listed authorities and responsibilities are subject to change based on managerial direction and project needs.Additional employee benefits include:Competitive salaryFGJV Retention Bonus SchemeEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Parental LeaveQantas Club Membership discountsProfessional development opportunitiesRoles are located in remote, challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures, which applicants should consider.If you meet the requirements and wish to be part of this iconic project, please apply now.Project Overview : Snowy 2.0 Project Promotional Video - YouTube
