Located in theShire of Yilgarn, on a 14/7 FIFO roster, you will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.Yilgarn Iron Ore Project includes the sites of Koolyanobbing,Windarling and Parker Range.
The Yilgarn region has a long history of iron ore mining and is located in the Shires or Yilgarn and Menzies with ore being railed to Esperance Port for export.
The productive mining areas are located on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.In this role, you will have:Load blast holes with explosives and stemming material as per design specificationsSet up and maintain exclusion zones and signage to ensure site safety during blasting activitiesSupport the Shotfirer with charging operations and tie-in proceduresConduct pre- and post-blast inspections to ensure site compliance and safetyFollow all site-specific and statutory safety protocols and proceduresAbout youTo be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:Shotfirers licence (advantageous)Dangerous Goods Security CardCurrent Manual Drivers LicenceExperience with ElectronicsWhat Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positionsFull camp facilities providedThiess' commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options - Flights & novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usAt Thiess, we partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia and the Americas.
