Develop your hospitality skills and embrace a unique environment in a
Kitchen Hand
position, integral to providing support to the catering team at Department of Defence R2 Café (Canberra). Join the team and receive full training and support while working with a dynamic environment.
The Position:
Full time position
Monday to Friday – 7am – 3pm
Assist with basic food preparation, including vegetables and salads.
Manage stock control, quality checks, and temperature monitoring.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen, food prep, storage, and service areas, with a strong focus on hygiene and food safety.
The Person:
Hospitality experience is a plus.
Knife handling, food safety, and preparation skills are advantageous.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
Positive, can-do attitude, ready to take on any task as needed
