Develop your hospitality skills and embrace a unique environment in a **Kitchen Hand** position, integral to providing support to the catering team at the **HMAS Penguin (Canberra). **Join the team and receive full training and support while working with a dynamic environment.

**The Position**:

- Casual position with plenty of hours available
- Support the catering team in a unique and busy environment
- Assist with basic preparation including vegetables and salads
- Stock control including quality reporting and temperature monitoring
- Maintain kitchen, food preparation, storage and service areas and equipment to a high standard
- Strong awareness of hygiene and food safety standards

**The Person**:

- Experience in a commercial kitchen beneficial - although not mandatory, learn on the job
- Knife handling, food safety and preparation skills are a plus
- Highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Can do attitude and drive to jump into any task required
