**Incredible Technology, Crafted by Humans**:
We've developed a team of talented and resourceful people, that enjoy working together and love what they do. Incredible people that bring dedication, professionalism, and unique talents to the table, every day.
**A Great Opportunity to Make Your Mark on a Growing Business**:
**Our dual challenge**
Since our founding in 2013, SOCO has roughly doubled in size every year. So far this year we have welcomed, on average, one new team member a week.
While we are busy with recruitment, we understand the importance of continuing to look after our team to ensure SOCO remains a great place to work. We are still developing and maturing our HR systems and practices. We have a lot of great ideas but have been short on time to realise them all.
**Your opportunity**
To address these dual challenges, **our small, hard-working (and fun) People + Culture team is seeking an awesome team member who is experienced in and passionate about all things a recruitment and generalist HR**.
Reporting to the Head of People + Culture, you will:
- work alongside the Head of People + Culture and two administrators to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day P+C function; and
- support the Head of People + Culture in the development and delivery of a broad range of P+C initiatives.
This is a **"hands on" role**, requiring flexibility as you work across all aspects of SOCO HR. We are a small team and everyone pitches in where needed, ensuring SOCO's values shine through in our interactions with all stakeholders.
In this newly created role, there will be **a strong focus on talent acquisition**. We estimate this will take up to 50% of your time but this may vary depending on the immediate business requirements. In this space, you will be covering all aspects of end-to-end recruitment, from strategic planning through to recruitment administration.
- Provide expertise and guidance, including designing interview guides, coaching and training managers in interview skills and utilising metrics to identify areas of strength and improvement in SOCO's recruitment approach
- Collaborate on employer branding initiatives, such as communication around SOCO's Employee Value Proposition and the creation of recruitment collateral
- Mentor your talent acquisition colleague to support her professional development
In the **HR generalist** side of your role, you will provide support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle as well as work closely with the Head of People + Culture to deliver projects. Your tasks will be broad and varied and may include:
- Responding to employee queries
- Creating P+C relevant content for SOCO's intranet
- Drafting position descriptions, letter templates, policies and procedures
- Contributing to the design and development of improved processes (e.g., onboarding, performance appraisal, training and development)
- Conducting stay interviews and exit interviews
- Mentoring the P+C Administrator to support his professional development
- Acting as a 2iC to the Head of P+C as required (e.g., when she is on leave)
This role is based in Brisbane. We support working from home arrangements but you will be required to attend CBD our office some of the time.
**Are We a Match?**:
**This role would be well suited to a recruitment specialist with foundational HR knowledge/experience, who is looking to further develop their HR generalist skills. Alternatively, an HR generalist with strong recruitment experience would also be a good fit.**
SOCO and this role is an ideal match for you if you:
- Are passionate about talent acquisition and generalist HR
- Are highly experienced in all aspects of end-to-end recruitment and skilled in sourcing hard-to-find talent and implementing a variety of recruitment strategies (e.g., job boards, direct approach, networks, social media, recruitment agencies)
- Have experience in and a strong foundational knowledge of generalist HR
- Possess the ability to build rapport and trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Work collaboratively and are an awesome team player. Experience working in a remote team would be advantageous.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
- Are highly organised and manage multiple responsibilities with ease
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Are comfortable working across various technology platforms and using Microsoft Teams, LinkedIn Recruiter and applicant tracking systems.
- Have the right to work in Australia
**A Great Place to Work**:
SOCO has been **officially certified as a great workplace by Great Place to Work**, the most definitive 'employer-of-choice' recognition that organisations aspire to achieve. 94% of the SOCO team say that SOCO is a great place to work, compared to the Australian company average of 55%.
Although SOCO already has a great workplace culture, we don't want to stop there. Our goal is to become a global top 100 great place to work. I
