Cyber Security plays a key part in our future, and SecurePay is seeking the next generation of Cyber Security Specialist who is an enabler and will work closely with Technology, Business and Customer stakeholders to deliver cyber security operations centre services and protect our brand and assets at the same time as helping deliver new services and products to a high quality which implies secure and safe. The SOC Senior Analyst contributes directly to the successful delivery of security operations and services to protect SecurePay's customers, brand and confidential information from internal and external threats. They will also continuously drive efficiencies in the use of security technology and services and provide operational support tasks to ensure alignment with business risks and security policy and that appropriate security controls are in place.

**What we're looking for**

We're looking for someone who can bring some previous experience but is eager to learn and develop within the Security domain. A results orientated, helpful, self-motivated, proactive person would be a perfect fit within this wonderful team. The skills and exposure that we're looking for include:

- At least 2-4 years of working experience in Cyber Security Operations / Security Analyst Role.
- Experience triaging security events in logs / data then writing processes to resolve these events or automating the resolution / action.
- Some experience with Splunk ( or another data platform )
- A basic understand of networking
- Exposure to / understanding of cloud security (AWS or Azure).
- Can work well with other tech teams
- Work management - reviewing changes, updating and creating security jobs.

**What you will be doing in the job**

Most days will involve data, what security logs / data do we have that may indicate a Cyber threat or misconfiguration etc. you would work with the Cyber and wider technology teams to document how we would resolve this threat, misconfiguration. You would spend time thinking about how the resolution might be automated in some way, you might have a conversation with one of the engineering teams on how to automate a resolution or do we need to update a security control. You will be structured in your approach to work, being able to report back to the Cyber team at stand ups on what you are working on. You'll spend time working with big name security tools, making sure they are operating at their best. Learning is a priority as well, how do you get better at your craft, how do you help the team improve / learn.
