Your Day to day Activities:

- Attend Range Services Daily Briefing
- Contribute to the strategic direction for the business unit in line with the Downer strategy with appropriate contributions from relevant team members
- Develop, implement and supervise appropriate procedures to ensure the safe and effective delivery in support of Range and Training Area Management
- Alert EMOS Operations Manager of potential or known issues that may impact the quality of Downer services to support a proactive, prevention-based approach to delivering quality outcomes to Defence.
- Proactive leadership, training and development of staff in all elements associated with delivery of Range and Training Area management services.
- Our employees are the face of Downer and play a pivotal role in delivering the services commitment we have made to our clients.
- Supervise emergency and fire response plans to ensure compliance with procedures for leading the Fire response team., operating the fire turnout vehicle and recording all fire incidents with respond times verified by Defence personnelActively seeking ways to improve work efficiency and identify areas where opportunities for business improvements can be realised

**What you'll bring**:

- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)
- Intermediate literacy and numeracy, with a high level of computer literacy and skills.\
- Previous experience with recognised training and Fire qualifications in Wildfire Response and Suppression highly regarded.
- Previous experience with transmission radio and telephone systems
- Must hold a current MR (or higher) Australian Drivers Licence
- Must have or be capable of attaining a workplace first aid qualification to National Certificate Level 2 standard
- Must have or be capable of attaining current operator licences for all Range vehicles and equipment
- Must have or be capable of attaining Fire Qualifications in Wildfire Response and Suppression
- Previous experience working in the Defence environment highly regarded
