The purpose of a House Manager is to develop, maintain, and implement effective and sustainable accommodation environments for our Participants.This position reports to the Area Manager for the operational outcomes of accommodation houses, focusing on a person-centred active support approach, maximizing participant independence, engaging with families and care teams to promote health and wellbeing.House Managers will build professional relationships with participants, supporting their choices, self-advocacy, and participation.
They facilitate access to community services and assist with daily living activities such as personal care, washing, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping.They are responsible for the daily operations of accommodation houses and communicate with staff, participants, care teams, and external stakeholders.About You3+ years experience as a House Manager, including leadership roles.Participant-focused, with strong leadership and management skills.Ability to create and manage staff care rosters.Effective collaboration with stakeholders.Certificate IV in Disability or Diploma in Community Sector Management is desirable.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain accommodation environments based on individual support needs.Liaise with families, other disability services, external stakeholders, and support groups.Promote healthy lifestyles, including physical and psychological fitness, nutrition, and recreation.Hold regular team meetings for communication and service improvement.Assist with expenditure, budgets, and rostering, including monitoring absenteeism.Ensure staff understand responsibilities, conduct supervisions, and complete necessary paperwork.Manage incidents effectively, reporting within required timeframes according to policies.Perform duties as per the service roster and other tasks as assigned.Why Join Us?
