The Project:The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project.
In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.
The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.The Role:In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality management processes are effectively implemented and maintained across civil structures, roads and asphalt works.
You will provide technical expertise, conduct inspections, oversee subcontractor compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve project excellence.Roles and Responsibilities: Implement and maintain quality management processes in line with ISO 9001 and company QMS.
Review and develop quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project-specific quality documentation.
Conduct inspections, tests, and process audits to verify compliance with client and project requirements.
Oversee subcontractor and supplier quality processes to ensure adherence to standards.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Prepare and present quality performance reports for stakeholders and management.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
Support the identification and mitigation of quality-related risks during planning and execution.
Promote a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement across project teams.
About You: Tertiary qualification or diploma in Engineering, Construction and/or Quality Management.
Proven industry experience in a quality engineering or advisory role within the civil construction sector, with exposure to structures, roads and asphalt works.
Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001 standards, and compliance tools.
Strong technical capability in conducting inspections, audits, tests, and verification activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
High-level digital skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience using document management systems such as Aconex or SharePoint.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, with the ability to identify risks, investigate non-conformances, and implement corrective actions that enhance project outcomes.
