The Speech Pathologist Casual Pool provides short-term cover to sites and services across Hunter New England, ensuring consistency of service.
Whether you have additional days of availability, want a change in scenery or caseload, or are exploring speech pathology opportunities in Hunter New England, the casual pool is a great option.
Hunter New England offers Speech Pathology services to the wider community, with casual staff working in diverse and complex caseloads across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, across the lifespan.
We have roles suited to various clinical interests.
As a casual within Hunter New England, you can communicate your availability and location preferences monthly.
Locations include:
Hunter Valley
Lower Mid-North Coast (including Taree and Forster)
Tamworth area
Armidale and Inverell areas
Narrabri and Moree areas
Greater Newcastle
Thorough orientation, support from senior staff, peer support, online learning opportunities, and potential accommodation support will be provided.

About You
Strong communication and rapport-building skills
Effective problem-solving and prioritization
Commitment to professional development and patient-centered care
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Bachelor or postgraduate degree in speech pathology, eligible for Speech Pathology Australia membership or equivalent
