Clyde Road Upgradeis a high-impact infrastructure project transforming a key arterial route over the Princes (Monash) Freeway.
Spanning 1.2 km, the upgrade includes widening Clyde Road to three lanes each way and a full interchange overhaul to improve access to hospitals, Berwick Station, and the growing Health and Education Precinct.
Works include new pavement construction, drainage upgrades, flood mitigation, major intersection works, and service relocations.
A major structural component is the widening of the freeway bridge, involving piling, structural concrete, and steel beam installation, a challenging scope ideal for engineers ready to get hands-on with complex civil and structural works.
We're after aSafety Coordinatorwho's passionate about creating safer work environments and supporting teams on-site.
In this role, you'll help drive a strong safety culture by working closely with project teams, conducting site inspections, assisting with incident investigations, mentoring staff, and making sure everything we do meets Seymour Whyte's safety standards and legislative requirements.

About the role:
Ensure Compliance and Training: Understand and stay current with all Seymour Whyte policies, procedures, and compliance training relevant to your role.
Enhance Site Health and Safety: Mentor site personnel to improve safety standards and conduct site inspections, providing actionable feedback and recommendations.
Support Project Management: Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining safety systems, procedures, and strategies while managing risks and opportunities for safety improvements.
Investigate Incidents and Provide Corrective Actions: Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents, advising on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
Promote a Strong Safety Culture: Foster a transparent, proactive safety culture on-site and ensure compliance with up-to-date legislation, industry standards, and technological innovations.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrate a passionate, energetic approach to safety with a positive, team-first attitude, working collaboratively with others.
Hold a Certificate IV in OHS and other key certifications, such as Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator Certification, First Aid, and Emergency Response Training.
Have 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the Civil/Construction industry, along with strong knowledge of plant operations, safety principles, and the ability to effectively engage with site staff and management.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
