Join a Leading Industry Player TRS Resourcing has been entrusted with sourcing and screening a qualified Mechanical Fitter for our long-term industrial client in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Our client is an industry leader in commercial fuel pumping, truck tanker construction, maintenance, and repairs across the East Coast of Australia.

**Pay Rate: $55.00 Per Hour NT Labour Hire + Super, Overtime, and $27 Per Day Travel Allowance**

The successfully recruited Mechanical Fitters could also have the opportunity to transition to a full-time position with our client after a successful six-month/26-week period.

**Duties**:

- To ensure optimal functionality and safe operation, perform routine preventative maintenance on tanks, pumps, piping, valves, and related equipment.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve defects or malfunctions promptly.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately and record maintenance schedules and equipment history.
- Continuously monitor systems and offer recommendations for improvements and upgrades.

**Requirements**:

- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Hold fault-finding/diagnosing skills
- Be able to Set out and interpret workshop/engineering drawings.
- Can prioritise work tasks.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Hold a mechanical aptitude.
