MacKellar Group has partnered with Middlemount Coal since 2015, providing a BIG equipment hire fleet with full maintenance service at the Middlemount Coal mine site.

We are an industry leader in the mining and civil earthmoving industries with over 50 years' experience and operate a large fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment across Australia. We take pride in our people, our safety culture and maintaining our equipment to a high standard.

We are seeking experienced Service Person / Trade Assistant (Workshop based) to join our growing and well-established operation at Middlemount Mine.

Your new role

Secure a permanent opportunity within our on-site maintenance department, working a 7/7 rotating roster your duties include;
- Working in our workshop at Middlemount Mine, alongside our Fitters our will carry out servicing on plant, equipment, machinery and vehicles
- Provide support to other trades for general maintenance activities where required
- List, record and report any damages identified during servicing
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work within teams to develop and implement solutions
- Be committed to adhering and promoting a strong safety culture.

What you'll need to succeed
- RIISAM212D - Service mine plant and equipment
- HR drivers licence
- Previous experience as a Service Person within the mining industry
- RIIVEH307 - Operate Heavy Rigid Vehicle VOC highly desirable
- RIIVEH306 - Operate a Mine Service Vehicle VOC highly desirable
- Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain).
