About the opportunity
As a Dairy Operator working in our powder team, you'll be operating, monitoring and cleaning complex process and packing machinery, ensuring the product specifications are met according to our customer requirements. You'll also be recording key product and process information in our database and using your mechanical capabilities to carry out basic maintenance checks.
This dynamic role offers a balanced 4-on, 4-off rotating roster, giving you plenty of time to recharge and enjoy life outside of work. You\'ll work 12-hour shifts, with four-day shifts starting at 6am and four days off then four-night shifts beginning at 6pm, providing variety and flexibility in your schedule.
What you'll bring
We are looking for a switched-on, self-motivated dairy operator. As someone who can not only use their initiative and work autonomously, you'll also be a great team player - working collaboratively with others to problem solve and identify improvement initiatives.
This is a busy role where you'll need a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work well within a team, and high regard for health and safety to succeed. A good understanding and commitment to manufacturing best practice and HACCP principles will also stand you in good stead.
Other key skills and experience include:
Proven experience in food production or manufacturing
Strong computer skills; SAP knowledge a plus
AQF Level 1 Certificate in Food Processing or equivalent
Advanced numeracy and digital literacy
Forklift licence and driving experience
Are you excited about this opportunity but may only meet some requirements?
At Fonterra, we are committed to building a diverse workplace and, therefore, open to looking at applicants with excellent transferable skills. If that\'s you, we encourage you to apply as you may be the right candidate for this role or one of our other opportunities.
