About the role

The Hospital Assistant is required to support and assist staff and patients within the Neurosurgical and Cardio-thoracic Unit. Under the direction and supervision of the nursing staff, the Hospital Assistant works within a team framework to assist and support the provision of clinical services.

**Your main duties will include**:
Under the direction of the nursing staff assists the patient in their activities of daily living as required
Transporting patients within the hospital
Maintain stock and ensure availability of these on the unit
Demonstrate efficiency and sound judgement in identifying situations requiring assistance from a Registered Nurse
Respond to specific emergency requests for assistance by clinical staff
Ensure cleaning practices are consistent with organisational policies and procedures
Provide general clerical support as required

**About you**:
Willingness to work in a fast paced team environment
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
Excellent customer service skills
