The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local
The Frankston Local operates six days a week with extended hours to support a flexible, responsive service.
It provides integrated treatment, care, and wellbeing support for consumers experiencing mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use or addiction, along with their families or carers.
This approach aims to improve individuals' capacity to engage in the community and respond to psychological distress.
The Mental Health Locals are a significant step towards ensuring all Victorians, regardless of their experience, receive valuable mental health care in their community.
In Frankston, Wellways, Mentis Assist, and Peninsula Health collaborate to provide innovative mental health and wellbeing supports, ensuring access to treatment and care closer to home.
The new Frankston Mental Health Local will offer welcoming and inclusive support for people aged 26 and over experiencing mental health challenges, including those with co-occurring alcohol and drug addiction treatment and care needs.
About the role
Within the Frankston Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, the Senior Psychologist will have advanced clinical skills, providing individual and group psychological treatments based on assessments and formulations, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic models.
The Senior Psychologist will consult on psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment needs within the team and occasionally the wider service.
Opportunities for involvement in training and supervision, including supervising psychology students and registrars, are also available.

About you
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a fully registered psychologist
Endorsement as a clinical or forensic psychologist
PBA approved supervisor (or enrolled to obtain)
Experience working in mental health or an equivalent setting
Experience delivering individual and group psychological interventions
