**About the opportunity**

The Interior Design Consultant reports to the Design Studio Manager and is part of the interior design team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to provide our clients with a comprehensive understanding of the interior and external products available within our product range. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with clients from initial walk through, selection and beyond
- Providing a customised approach for selecting interior and external details, materials, colour selections, flooring selections, lighting/electrical, space planning, and detailing
- Interpreting client needs and completing detailed design concepts and contract documents
- Writing specifications covering interior design matters, and performing code reviews
- Provide on the spot pricing and estimating
- Working collaboratively and coordinating work with other disciplines
- Effectively utilising available technology to accurately record all revisions and reselections
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing guidance and quality support

**About you**

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of MJH and NXT Group along with:

- Commitment to providing excellence in customer service
- Demonstrated design aesthetic and strong conceptual skills
- Experience in colour consulting ideally within the residential building industry
- An ability to read and understand floor plans and housing contracts
- Diploma in Design and Decoration or other relevant tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong record keeping, planning and organising
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, Codes and industry trends
- Ability to work Tuesday-Saturday
