About the Role
As a Maintenance Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the village remains safe, functional, and visually appealing. Reporting to the Village Manager, you'll handle day-to-day maintenance tasks, coordinate repairs, and maintain the community's outdoor spaces. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
- Maintain the village gardens, mow lawns, and carry out general landscaping duties.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and manage inventory of tools and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and external contractors.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WH&S) standards and risk management practices.

- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness, including the ability to lift and move items up to 15 kg.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and a passion for gardening.
- A commitment to Levande's values and creating a positive resident experience.

Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in retirement living, property maintenance, or facility management.
- Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
- A valid driver's licence.
