As aTechnical Account Manager (TAM)at Amazon Web Services, you will be a valued member of the Enterprise Support team who leads our customers to build and run their applications on the AWS platform.
Key job responsibilities
TAMs work backwards from customers to define support strategies, deliver expert advice on AWS services, assist with project launches, and resolve operational issues.
They are engaged at the account level, providing recommendations and proactive advice throughout all phases of the cloud adoption lifecycle.
Every day brings new challenges on the job while you:
Build solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for customers
Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
Use technical acumen and customer obsession to drive discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
Consult with a range of partners from developers to C-suite executives
Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and prelaunch planning
Support post-sales, providing consultative expertise
Solve problems as customers migrate workloads to the cloud
Uplift customer capabilities through workshops and sessions

A day in the life
This role, internally called a TAM, externally operates as a Technical Consultant, earning trust and helping customers maximize value from cloud technology.
You'll craft and execute strategies to drive AWS adoption and usage.
Our TAMs engage with startups to large enterprises, providing advice on architecture, support strategies, projects, and operational issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of technical engineering experience
Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting in at least three areas such as compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data, security, or applications in distributed systems
Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with AWS services or other cloud platforms
Experience as a technical lead in enterprise or customer-facing environments
