Sr. DevOps Engineer
We seek a skilled Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our organization and contribute to the development of large-scale cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS SDK, CloudFormation, and best practices for cloud security, as well as a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Develop and maintain automation pipelines for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) using AWS DevOps toolsets.
Implement AWS security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and secure deployment of applications and services.
Optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Work with AWS SDK to integrate cloud services into applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, performance, and deployment issues.
Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in AWS environments.
Strong AWS development, automation, and DevOps skills.
Hands-on experience with AWS SDK and CloudFormation.
Solid understanding of AWS security principles, IAM policies, and security automation.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
Experience in government or regulated environments.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
