Kingston Academy is an established College delivering ELICOS courses in Melbourne CBD.
We are seeking a general English (ELICOS) Teacher.
The primary responsibilities of this role are:
- Teaching ELICOS to students at a specific level between elementary to upper-intermediate
- Assessment of student work and reporting results
- Providing feedback to the course coordinator about student attendance, progression, performance and satisfaction
- Lesson planning, evaluation and reflection
- Monitoring student academic performance and ensuring student academic performance is maximised
- Participating in extra curricula activities
- Attending ELICOS meetings/professional development sessions as scheduled by
- Implementing and participating in curriculum reviews on a regular basis or as instructed by the Coordinator
- Effective communication and a positive rapport between staff and students
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a suitable TESOL qualification;
- An ability to teach a range of levels from elementary to upper-intermediate
- A highly motivating and engaging classroom manner with outstanding presentation skills
- excellent communication skills and
- great people skills
- English teaching experience or equivalent
Remuneration:
- Salary: $40/hour
- Superannuation: 10.5%
- Other allowances: negotiable
Schedule:
- Day shift
- 38 hours per week
