About the Role
The Elite Referee Development Specialist role is responsible for elevating the performance of top-notch referees in Football Australia competitions.
Key Responsibilities
Foster the growth and improvement of referees within the Elite Refereeing Program, promoting precision and accuracy in on-field decision-making.
Develop targeted mentoring strategies to address specific areas of need, based on personal observation and observer assessments.
Establish a supportive and motivational environment within the panel and department, empowering staff to adapt to evolving challenges.
Promote actions that enhance World Class standards of refereeing within Football Australia competitions.
About You (Experience, Skills and Qualifications)
High-Level Refereeing Experience: Proven track record as a referee at A-League level.
Leadership & Mentoring: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop elite officials.
Performance Assessment Capacity: Ability to use performance assessment and data analysis to inform mentoring and development strategy.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, providing constructive feedback while fostering an inclusive team culture.
