About the role
We currently have a position available for a reliable and passionate Companion Carer to join our team in Wagga Wagga.
You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect.
You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client.
Assisting clients with gardening and yard maintenance supports.
Supporting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support.
Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities.
Preparing food if needed.
Observing, caring for, and reporting any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.
Responding to emergency situations.
Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered.
Maintaining excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
Current National Police Check.
Current First Aid & CPR certificates.
Current NDIS Worker Screening & Orientation.
