**The Opportunity**
Reporting directly to the GM of Logistics, the DC Operations Manager will provide leadership, plan, drive, coordinate, and coach the warehousing and distribution teams within our Brisbane Distribution Centre, to ensure the safe and compliant distribution of our products ensuring service excellence to our customers through continuous improvement to ensure effective, efficient processes are maintained delivering on budget with a cost-conscious mindset.

**Key area of responsibilities includes the following**:
- Lead, coordinate and manage the workings of all leaders, storepersons and drivers, including planning and monitoring of receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods accurately and on a timely basis
- Drive and maintain the highest standards of operational excellence to give a great customer experience and sustainable service level
- Prepare and control operational budgets
- Review and develop processes within your DC and network to provide effective and efficient strategies for continuous improvement and operational activity
- Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery efficiently to ensure compliance and quality alongside meeting budgetary targets and environmental objectives
- Motivate, mentor and coach your team and subsequently their teams to ensure productivity targets are met
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to provide service excellence at the best cost
- Encourage your teams to openly communicate, providing feedback for development and in turn give reward and recognition
- Ensure compliance with state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements
- Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met
- Organisation of dangerous goods as per legislation
- CoR
- Responsible for the security of the building and stock
**Skills and Experience**
To qualify for the role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field, desired but not essential,
- 5 years experience in a similar role of warehousing and/or transport logistics
- 5,000 sqm+ warehouse
- 20+ warehousing employees
- 7+ fleet of drivers and vehicles
- Management of 3PL Regional Runs
- Strong planning, analytical and reporting capabilities
- Good communication skills
- Commercial mindset and abilities to ensure budgets achieved
- Experience of working with a Tier 1 WMS, ie: AP, Manhattan, Mircorlistics
- Ability to review and initiative continuous improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure and lead change
