About the role
Support the planning, development and negotiation of procurement activities with the clinical consumables category across Metro North Hospital and Health Service in a client focussed and transparent manner. The role is involved in the delivery of clinical consumable procurement and contract management activities for Metro North covering, but not limited to: Clinical consumables, Prostheses, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Gas and Panel and Standing Offer Arrangements as it relates to the clinical consumables category. The Procurement and Contracts Officer facilitates end to end procurement activities as directed by the Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer and/or Category Manager.
About you
- Support the Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer, Clinical Consumables to provide a point of accountability and manage all aspects of clinical consumable procurement, management and reporting within Metro North
- Actively engage with stakeholders to advocate and drive procurement activities that improve the work unit efficiency and contribute to positive outcomes for the Hospital and Health Service.
- Liaise with governance, probity and legal advisers, as required, to ensure robust offer/tendering and contract
