Overview
VERACIO is seeking a Scanning Field Technician to join our team in Adelaide, SA. This is a travelling "on the road" role with a Fly In, Fly Out schedule rotation. The role supports field-deployable XRF-analysis, hyperspectral and core photography systems, including Veracio's Truscan and Minalyzer scanner units and related software.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and fault-find issues related to proprietary analytical equipment.
Operate and troubleshoot field-deployable electronic equipment and supporting software.
Conduct field and workshop scanning activities.
Provide logistical support for field scanning operations.
Log and escalate incidents in the Issue Management System; escalate moderate issues to senior staff.
Travel regularly, including on short notice, to fulfil responsibilities.
Other Responsibilities
Perform hands-on troubleshooting, service and repairs.
Contribute to the creation of SWPs and training documentation.
Support Product Development through testing and reporting activities and operational rollout.
Train client field technicians to safely operate field-deployable analytical technologies.
Travel to field and other Veracio operational sites as required.
Comply with EHS Policy and KPIs.
Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in Australia
Field experience on a drill rig; mining or exploration core facility (highly desirable)
Understanding of handling and logging core samples (desirable)
Excellent customer service orientation and ability to maintain relationships with key account customers and internal teams
Interest in digital technologies and new innovations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail and strong initiative
Proficient in MS Office
A current driver's license
Basic electrical and mechanical skills (desirable)
4WD and Senior First Aid (desirable)
Ability to work on a varied roster
