**Company Description** About us**:
At NCS Australia, we believe in doing technology services better. Our commitment to quality, focus on people, and willingness to challenge traditional thinking set us apart. Our team brings this belief to life by partnering with our clients and communities to make tomorrow together.

We are committed to creating an environment that prioritises innovation, collaboration, and purposeful work. Our diverse team is empowered to make a meaningful impact with curiosity, creativity and resilience to shape better outcomes. Join us and accept the challenge of creating a better tomorrow.

As an experienced Data Governance Analyst at NCS, you'll be at the heart of our mission to help diverse organisations across Australia establish and significantly elevate their data governance capabilities. This is a dynamic, client-facing role where you'll partner directly with businesses at various stages of data maturity. Your core objective will be to guide them in implementing and operationalising robust data governance frameworks, ensuring these are meticulously aligned with their unique commercial needs and strategic ambitions, ultimately empowering them to leverage data as a key asset.

Your responsibilities will be shaped by your experience, offering a clear path for impact and growth. You might be instrumental in supporting the successful rollout of key governance initiatives, or you could find yourself leading end-to-end streams of work - from defining critical data standards and designing clear roles, to delivering effective, sustainable operational frameworks. In this pivotal position, you'll define comprehensive Data Governance Frameworks and Policies, drawing on respected principles like DAMA and DMBOK. Your activities will span conducting capability assessments, designing impactful stakeholder engagement strategies, driving business change for better governance adoption, providing operational support for leading data catalog tools (like Alation, Microsoft Purview, Ataccama), and integrating these seamlessly with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.

Joining NCS Australia as a Data Governance Analyst offers a uniquely rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact by partnering with clients on their data transformation journeys, tackling varied challenges, and operationalising robust governance frameworks with cutting-edge technologies. You'll thrive in a dynamic consultancy environment that champions continuous learning and significant career growth, supported by mentorship within our expanding Data & AI practice.

- ** Driving Business Change**: A successful track record in leading and driving impactful business change initiatives that significantly enhance the adoption, understanding, and embedding of data governance practices and a data-aware culture within client organisations.
- ** Data Catalog & Tooling Proficiency**: Hands-on operational experience with leading data catalog tools such as Alation, Microsoft Purview, Ataccama, or similar. This includes their practical implementation, configuration, and effective utilisation to achieve tangible data governance objectives.
