Rotational Hospital Pharmacist - Slade Pharmacy, Hunter & Mid-Coast Region
Permanent full-time Reliever Pharmacist role in the Hunter and Mid-Coast region within the Slade Pharmacy network (Icon Group).
The role involves travel to multiple sites to provide pharmacy coverage during staff leave or periods of increased demand.
When not providing relief, you'll be based at Newcastle Private Hospital.
Travel allowances and accommodation are provided where applicable.
Training is provided and community and newly registered Pharmacists are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
As a Reliever Pharmacist, you will travel to provide backup support for our pharmacy network in the Hunter and Mid-Coast region by providing Pharmacist coverage during staff leave or periods of increased demand at the following sites:
Epic Pharmacy Newcastle – Newcastle Private Hospital
Slade Pharmacy Maitland – Maitland Private Hospital
Slade Pharmacy Lingard – Lingard Private Hospital
Slade Pharmacy Toronto – Toronto Private Hospital
Slade Pharmacy Hunter Valley – Hunter Valley Private Hospital
Slade Pharmacy Forster – Forster Private Hospital
Slade Pharmacy Taree – Mayo Private Hospital
When not on relief, you'll be based at Newcastle Private Hospital.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across a variety of pharmacy settings and access to multidisciplinary services, including oncology and clinical pharmacy.
With the support of our collaborative teams, you will receive the right training and support to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
About You
You are a versatile Pharmacist who thrives in new environments and enjoys travel.
Your strong communication skills and ability to adapt make you a great fit for this unique and varied role.
Community and newly registered Pharmacists are encouraged to apply as hands-on training will be provided.
Essentials Requirements
General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
Current drivers' licence and roadworthy vehicle fit for purpose.
Ability to commit to a frequent travel role.
Permanent Australian working rights.
