We're seeking an experienced and driven Manager, Accounts Payable, to guide our dynamic team to success.
In this full-spectrum role, you'll lead the Accounts Payable function with a strong in-person presence and a clear vision for process excellence.
Your mission is to ensure supplier payments are accurate and on time, underpinned by robust financial controls that safeguard company assets.
You'll be responsible for accurate cost accounting through Procurement to Pay processes and act as the custodian of Babcock\'s online banking operations.You'll bring structure and clarity to our reporting obligations, ensuring our business actions, management oversight, and statutory requirements are met and exceeded.
You'll also invest in the growth of your team, developing talent and elevating capability across the board.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, come help shape the future of a critical organisation where your expertise truly matters.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial controls.Oversee procurement-to-pay processes, cost accounting, and online banking operations.Improve reporting, oversight, and compliance with statutory and management requirements.Develop and mentor team capabilities, fostering growth and high performance.QualificationsAustralian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or similar.Experience in a similar role with team leadership responsibilities.Experience in high-risk industries preferred (Defence, Construction, Aviation).
