**The Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of TAFE NSW Allied Timber Trades team located at the Lidcombe campus.

The Teacher of Flooring Technology is responsible for** **delivering educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. The role of the teacher involves a broad range of activities which directly and indirectly support learning through the delivery of educational programs.

TAFE NSW is committed to ensuring all people, including those experiencing disadvantage, have access to the training they need to participate fully in their local communities and the economy. In the last 12 months alone, we have trained more people experiencing disadvantage than any other training provider in the country.

**About you**

You are passionate about sharing your extensive industry experience in Flooring Technology and supporting the next generation of student learners.

In the role, you will be able to not only impart your technical skills but also the industry standard safety culture to your students. Equally, its important you understand current and emerging industry skills in this high-risk profession so TAFE NSW can be responsive to deliver a pipeline of highly skilled and in-demand workers.

**To help you be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Certificate III in Flooring Technology or equivalent
- Certificate of Proficiency (Desirable)
- Three (3) years relevant post-qualification industry experience within the last 3-5 years, with at least one (1) years' experience in an Australian workplace context
- Hold a Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent*
