**About the opportunity**:
We're seeking a qualified professional to support individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug (AOD) use. The role involves conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based counselling to reduce AOD-related harm, support behaviour change, and promote recovery. The position may also include providing supervision to colleagues.

In addition to a salary equivalent to **SCHADS Level 5 + super**, you can access the following.

**Your skills and experience**:
You will hold a tertiary qualification in a health or welfare related discipline. You will also bring with you:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in health or welfare, such as:

- Social Work
- Psychology
- Nursing
- Allied Health Sciences
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) **or** completion of core AOD competencies (or ability to complete within 24 months of employment).
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities.
- Understanding of systemic issues (e.g. racism, colonialism).
- AOD or dual diagnosis counselling experience.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of therapies such as:

- CBT
- MET
- Harm Reduction
- Trauma-Informed Practice
- Narrative Therapy
- Family Inclusive Practice
- Community Reinforcement
