Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney's The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

The Art Gallery attracts around 2 million visitors annually and runs Australia's largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the role**

Develop and deliver expanded programming and interpretative content for the Art Gallery's Creative Learning Art Pathways program that supports the Art Gallery's strategic plan of connecting with existing and potential audiences more effectively.

**What technical / soft skills you require**
- Appropriate tertiary qualification and/or relevant, equivalent professional experience in the field of education.
- Experience in devising and delivering programs in a Gallery or Museum context or equivalent, which engage diverse learning audiences with art coupled with proven ability to set program objectives and reach targets on time and within budget.
- Excellent working knowledge of art history in an educational context.
- Strong administration skills
- Working with children check.
- Current Driver's licence (desirable)

**Targeted questions**

- In this role you will develop and deliver Creative Learning programs, including the Art Pathways program, for diverse audiences at the Art Gallery of NSW. Provide an example of a high quality, curriculum-based, creative learning experience that you were tasked to produce for a specific learning audience. Describe the learning outcomes and outline the ways in which the program increased engagement with art and ideas? (maximum of 300 words)
- A key challenge of this role is to deliver effective outcomes on limited resources and with competing time in an art gallery context. Tell us about your skills and experience in developing and delivering a successful learning program in a cultural or educational organisation. Outline the planning, administrative organisation and processes you used, including evaluation, to meet the program demands.(maximum of 300 words)
