The role involves a variety of projects and services-based work, focused on automation / control systems and solutions, primarily in the Water, Manufacturing, Rail and Infrastructure industries.We are looking for someone with passion and drive who will be responsible for:Lead, manage, and participate in designing, developing, commissioning, and supporting automation and electrical systems in both project and services environments.Lead, manage, and participate in continuous improvement and maintenance of client process and automation systems.Leading engineering teams, planning and managing project execution.Drive the development of best practice methodologies, software, systems and procedures.Meeting engineering & project cost targets as set by ManagementManage, mentor, and support other engineers in the teamThe successful applicant will have:Bachelor's degree in electrical, Control Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.15 years of relevant experience in relevant engineering role with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or senior engineering capacity.Prior experience in Tunnel Infrastructure SystemsStrong technology, programming/coding, and computer skillsExcellent documentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)Mature methodologies in PLC coding, SCADA design, and process improvementProficiency in automation platforms such as Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, Schneider Unity, and Aveva System PlatformA proven track record of successful project delivery in the automation industryHands-on experience in executing automation projects across all lifecycle stages—from requirements analysis to FAT and SATStrong knowledge of industrial protocols including Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and IEC 61850The ability to lead the engineering delivery of large-scale PMCS or similar packagesFlexibility and willingness to travel regularly for project requirementsThis position is open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person, who will receive excellent remuneration in line with skills and experience.Coengineer is a specialist project management and engineering services company, focused on delivering game-changing industrial automation solutions to our clients.
